The company's name, Cotton Wolf, does require a little explanation. The company is named in memory of an Iditarod running, snow loving, adventuresome canid pal who possessed profound listening skills. Her common identification: an Alaskan husky with a coat the color and texture of cotton.
Cotton Wolf had a matching disposition—warm, soft, and astonishingly strong. Running on a new plane of existence now, her inspiration still echoes here, in the programming, and in the company's acoustic curricula.
Dr. Andrea Lynn is Cotton Wolf's founder (alongside Cotton Wolf). An ecoacoustician, educator, and adventurer, Andrea is completely captivated by sound.
Her primary research, investigating the acoustic habitats of Arctic marine mammals, illuminated for Andrea not only her own, but humankind's disconnection with the planet.
She evolved Cotton Wolf from its roots in the art of storytelling to an experiential acoustics company engineered to address and heal the disconnections Andrea came to recognize and understand.

An excellent navigator (no getting lost in the woods when he's around), Dirk has stories from around the world to share, and, he's a magnificent storyteller.
