Scientific research is our foundation. Principal Andrea Lynn earned her doctoral degree studying the impacts of anthropogenic noise in the ocean, especially its effects on Arctic marine mammals. As a research scholar/ecoacoustician, she is interested in the development of comprehensive policies to regulate underwater radiated noise. 

Cotton Wolf also leans on esoteric and ancestral wisdom. To ignore the knowledge passed through centuries and generations would be to miss understandings gained from the record of humankind's existence.
