Soundscapes can be easily defined by considering the primary acoustic sources that are evident:
Anthrophony—sounds from human sources (human-generated acoustic signals)
Biophony—collective sound produced by all living organisms that reside in a particular biome (biological signals)
Geophony—non-biological natural sounds produced in a habitat (geological processes)
Anthropogenic noise is simply human-generated unwanted sound. This is easier to sort when evaluating the effects of anthropogenic noise on other species. Humans often invite anthropogenic noise into their soundscapes. Cotton Wolf's programming acknowledges the very individual experiences humans have with sound and vibrations, tailoring our support and programming accordingly. Even Cotton Wolf's group experiences take every attendee's perspectives into account.
